Hello, and welcome to Blooming Grape Magazine. Let me introduce myself – I’m Lia Kiss, the founder of this website. It has been my dream to create your go-to site for simple, nourishing food, captivating stories, and exceptional wine. Blooming Grape is both professional and personal, a place you can trust for all things culinary. Based in Vienna, Austria, but deeply connected to my Hungarian roots, I’m excited to share the best of both culinary worlds with you, bringing you super premium, super quality, and truly authentic experiences from around the globe.
Why Blooming Grape?
Why? You may ask. Why a gastronomy and wine site when we are witnessing plenty of diverse food digital sources daily? Well, part of the answer is – I like a variety of online magazines, and I’m a wine expert and a personal chef to my lovely family. I enjoy recipes thought out in different ways, and distinct, fun, and informative wine articles. Gastronomy is part of our cultural life, even if we don’t realize that it is the sum total of material and spiritual values, a colorful area of our human development.

A Personal Magazine You Can Trust
The other reason? I have waited too long for something like this to come around. Because I’m the girl who loves well-made food and well-made wine. I enjoy a good story, conversations with the butcher, greengrocer, and farmer. I’m the chef at home who grills on the fire daily, sets the table for every occasion in an artistic way, and prefers cloth napkins. I’m the mother who enjoys cooking with her children and feels happiness after cleaning the kitchen. A friend and knowledgeable table companion who likes to talk about wines or travel in a wine region.

Call Me Crazy
Blooming Grape will always be an unpredictable collection of many types of stories about food. Its ideology finds inspiration from people who respect and value food, those who have learned that a glass of tap water is as much a treasure as an expensive drink. Call me crazy for many reasons, like loving tap water. This site will not be all things for all, but it will be so much of what I care about, and I know I am not alone.
